This weekend, 8 of us went to the NC State Fair in Raleigh, and, luckily, the rain held off long enough for us to have a great time. Here are a few pictures from the students who went (Thanks to Maddy and Madeleine for the pictures!).

| Did you know that the first Ferris Wheel was invented for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. It was meant to be an answer to the Eiffel tower which had been the centerpiece for the 1889 World's Fair. |
