Hello! My name is Simone and I’m a junior on hall this year. I’m 16 and from
Matthews, North Carolina, right outside of Charlotte. A whole Trimester has
passed and I’m only loving school more and more. I’ve made so many new friends
and I’ve learned so many great things. Here are ten interesting things about
myself:
- My favorite food is a potato. Any type of potato is good. Mashed, Sweet, Baked, Twice Baked, Wedges and more – it all sounds good to me. Yum!
- I play the flute in Wind Ensemble. I’ve been playing the flute for 6 years and I love it. I hope to continue playing the flute through college.
- My favorite subject is Chemistry. This year I am taking AP Chemistry and I was accepted into the Research in Chemistry Class. In this class, I’ll be conducting my own independent research on a topic in Chemistry. I haven’t decided what I’ll be researching yet, but I’m hoping to think of something soon.
- I love movies. I love movies with a passion and going to see a new movie is a favorite pastime of mine. I especially love movies that get you thinking. My least favorite type of movie is horror. EEK!
- I am a fangirl. I love geeky TV shows, like Doctor Who, Merlin, Sherlock, and Supernatural and before I came to SMath (back when I had time!) I would spend hours watching them.
- I have two dogs. They are both Bishon Frise’s. One is a rescue and her name is Rosie. The other is a purebred and her name is Rockette.
- I hate slugs. I can see any other type of bug without freaking out. But I don’t like slugs. They’re just so scary.
- I play soccer. I’ve been playing soccer for most of my life. I hope to make the varsity team in the spring and continue to play representing NCSSM. Go Unis!
- I was lucky enough to be accepted here with my best friend, Nicole, who lives on 1st Beall. Having a friend I already knew helped make the transition to NCSSM easier and it’s nice to reminisce about home with her.
- I love Third Bryan!! I am so happy to live on this hall. All the girls are fantastic and Linsey is great! I look forward to living here for the rest of my two years at SMath.
